Standard rates. No travel surcharge.
Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Lower Sackville, Cole Harbour, Eastern Shore, Fall River, Waverley, Enfield
Near Nova Scotia
Zone 2 travel fee applies. (~60–90 min from base)
Lunenburg, Chester, Mahone Bay, Truro, Windsor
Extended Nova Scotia
Zone 3 travel fee applies. (~90–150 min from base)
South Shore (Bridgewater, Liverpool), Annapolis Valley (Kentville, Wolfville)
Provincial
Zone 4 travel fee + minimum billing. By arrangement.
Cape Breton Island, Northern Nova Scotia, all other provincial locations
Marine Dockside Locations
Vessel owners and fleet operators: D&D Welding provides dockside welding at HRM-area wharves and harbours, including Sambro, Herring Cove, Eastern Passage, and Tantallon. Zone 2 ports including Lunenburg, Chester, and Mahone Bay are served regularly. For other ports, contact us to confirm availability.
The vessel stays in the water. Dockside TIG and MIG welding on steel and aluminum — no haul-out required.
Travel Fee Policy
Travel fees are zone-based and disclosed in every written quote. There are no hidden mobilization charges.
- Zone 1 work has no travel fee.
- Zones 2–4 travel fees are applied consistently and explained in your written quote.
All travel fees are confirmed before work begins. No surprises on your invoice.
